EMBS 38

The 38^th European Marine Biological Symposium (EMBS 38) was held in Aveiro, Portugal, 8-12 September 2003. One of the key components of the EMBS is the Yellow Submarine competition, in which teams with only the foggiest understanding of the rules compete fiercely for a trophy of no value whatsoever. This is followed by an equally wild and festive event which they call a banquet.
