This part of the modelling site deals with applications of fuzzy logic to modelling, environmental assessment, and related topics.

Much of my work on applications of fuzzy logic has been in the field of fisheries, so if this is your area of interest, click here.

Several years ago I taught a course on Fuzzy Systems at the Universität Osnabrück in NW Germany (March 2002). A set of PowerPoint presentations for this course is available (download and unzip the archive, then start with 0K.pps).

I gave a seminar on Fuzzy Approaches to Modelling at WL Delft in March, and the PowerPoint presentation for that talk is also available (download and unzip the archive, then start with fuzzymodelling.pps).

In November 2005 I spoke on The Inescapable Fuzziness of Being to the Computer Science Department at the University of Haifa, which is also available.
